Women’s Conferences in Uganda Great Blessing!!!

August 25th, 2008 by Administrator

uganda-2008-kampala-and-lon.jpgThe Sarah & Joseph Foundation of CTA hosted 3 women’s conferences in 3 villages during our last month’s mission to Uganda. Manna Worldwide provided 300 plus Bibles for those within the conferences that had no Bible. More than 500 Bibles were distributed during these 3 conferences in 3 villages over a 5 day period from July 14-18, 2008.

The picture in this post shows Renate Galyean (Director of S&J Foundation of CTA) kneeling with a moslem woman at the conference in Kampala Uganda, that is praying to receive Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. During the Bible distribution Renate sensed the woman who came to receive a Bible did not know the author and finisher of our faith so she takes time in the middle of the distribution to lead her to faith in Christ!

Also during this week of ministry the S&J Foundation passed out 60 pigs to widows who will raise them for a means to care for their children and pay school fees. A special thanks to Patrick Sexton of Sexton Animal Clinic in LA for investing his time to make the pig project a hugh success. A big thank you goes out to all the ladies who joined Renate to minister to the women of Uganda. Fishhawk Fellowship Church and Macedonia Baptist Church sent women to stand with Renate and reach out during this mission of Call to Africa. THANKYOU!!!

Renate Galyean - Director of S&J Foundation

July 3rd, 2008 by Administrator

witch-doctor-burning_thumbnail.jpgDuring our June Mission trip in Buwenge, Uganda we witnessed 3 witch doctors accept Jesus Christ as Lord. Pictured to the right is the massive crusade crowd gaithered to witness the burning of three generations of witch craft. This night more than 500 precious souls accepted Christ after witnessing the burning of the witchdoctor’s magic and hearing one 3rd generation Witch Doctor publically repent before the whole city!  CTA hosted the Kelly Green Evangelism Assciation with a team of 55 from four states. During the Buwenge Crusade lead by Pastor Zacheriah Sserwadda the crowd swelled to around 10,000 each night. Pastor Todd Roberts of South Tampa Fellowship alternated preaching with Evangelist Kelly Green and God moved mightily through this Islamic controlled area.

Rev. Ken Galyean along with Pastor Henry Ssevviiri prepared the venues and distributed the team for the multi-city assgnment. Face the Nation Training in Botswana

May 20th, 2008 by Administrator

children-at-the-water-well.jpg  Botswana has the 2nd worse HIV / Aids prevalence rate in the world and CTA has joined the partnership with Open Baptist Church in Gabarone, Botswana to make a difference. Rev. Ken Galyean led a TIME Rally Team from USA to help train 133 College age Christians from University of Botswana. During this week of evangelism training TIME (Training In Missions Evangelism) trained 2 rally teams in drama, puppets and the arts as a tool for evangelism. Rev. Ken Galyean trained 133 volunteers in personal evangelism and evangelistic rallies. The picture to the right shows some of those who gathered to hear the gospel during 20 evangelistic rallies conducted during the week and 784 decisions for Christ were recorded.

Please pray for Pastor Norman and Gabi Scheaffer as they lead Open Baptist Church and Face The Nation to redeem the future of Botswana. Last year after 5 weeks of training they commissioned 100 volunteers out to the 27 Senior Secondary Schools of Botswana and in 5 weeks time 10,000 students prayed to receive Jesus and 15,000 students signed commitment cards to obstain from sex until marriage.

This year promisses to have even a greater impact on the HIV/Aids pandemic with 133 volunteers and two rally teams working in the 28 Senior Secondary schools of Botswana. Now the vision moves toward local church involvement and Govenment involvement so that this program can be sustained and have the followup needed to incorporate these new Christians into the Body of Christ through the local churches in the communitees where FTN is actively sharing the message of hope through Jesus Christ!!!

I have been so blessed to be invited in a partnership with OBC/FTN/TIME/CTA and other significant partners working together to disciple these College age Christians for a God Sized task! Special thanks to Kelly Green Evangelism Assciation for supporting this project financially and personally.

Blessings!

Sarah and Joseph Foundation Raising Support for Widows and Orphans

May 2nd, 2008 by Administrator

orphans-making-necklaces.jpgnew-hope-orphans.jpg Renate Galyean - Director of the Sarah & Joseph Foundation of CTA left today for FBC Mixon TX to join a women’s conference. She was asked to highlight her ministry to the widows and orphans of Uganda, Africa. Renate carried hundreds of sets of necklaces/bracelets and earrings made by the orphans of Sister Agnes’ Child Care Orphanage(pictured left) in Njeru, Uganda. These necklaces provide a way of supporting this orphanage and bring a face to missions to those who receive the hand made jewelry.

Pictured to the right is Renate’s husband Rev. Ken Galyean with a TIME Rally Team at New Hope Orphanage in Kampala Uganda, one of the sights of Renate’s conferences in July. Please pray for us as we ask the Lord to raise up resources for the conferences. Bibles, medicine, bicycles and food for conferences are some of the needs for July 10-24 Mission in Uganda.

Sandy and Karen Baird of Manna World Wide will join this team from Florida, Alabama, and Texas. Karen will help Renate teach during the women’s confernces, Sandy will preach and help train Pastors. Matt Moore of Fishhwak Fellowship church in Tampa, FL will bring a group from their church to help with all venues of this mission. Pastor Steve Cochran from Macedonia Baptist Church, Lonview TX will bring a group to help all venues of this mission. Journey Church from Prattville, AL is sending a group to join us as well. This mission will include a medical clinic as Dr. John Crider from Arab, AL will join the team.

Video from Botswana- Revival a Real Possibility!

May 1st, 2008 by Administrator

Every significant relationship I have gained over the last 5-10 years I am pointing them to this opportunity. Dwayne Moore www.praisemorepowerful.com , Thomas Young www.youngendeavors.org , Kelly Green www.kellygreen.org , as well as TIME ministries www.timeministries.com have aggreed to participate in this HIStory changing event.

Now after just returning from Botswana September 30th, 2007 we are seeing the plan set in motion for Face the Nation 2008. Beginning May 5,2008 the school of Discipleship will train 150 College age Christians to go into the Senior Secondary Schools with the message of Hope in Jesus Christ and Abstinance as the only certain way to avoid the Aids pandemic in Sub-Saraha Africa.

Open Baptist Church of Gabarone, Botswana is hosting FTN and believing God for a miracle to turn this Nation back to God. During our visit last week we saw rain for two days which has been the first rain since Christmas Day 2006. What a picture of Revival when God’s children begin to turn from their wickedness, God hears, forgives and brings healing to the land.

Please join me in praying for Pastor Norman Schaefer and the leadership of OBC and FTN to be empowered by His Holy Spirit and protected by His presence from the enemy. We seeking teams to come in before May and prayer walk the schools and communities where these disciples will be commissioned to go after completing 5 weeks of training. If you or your church would consider partnering with us and OBC please contact me so we can find a way to help you connect in a meaningful way.  Contact me 256-200-0529, or kgalyean@calltoafrica.org .

God Bless You!

He Came to Seek And to Save the Lost

March 26th, 2008 by Administrator

ken-in-Guat.jpg block-party-gua.jpg

Here are two pictures from the Blockparties we held in Guatemala City last week. As you can see in the first picture I am surrounded by heavily armed police. This was a very high crime area and their were 12 or more officers guarding us as we presented the gospel through dramas, puppets, and music. 37 people were saved here in the Market Place of down town Guatemala City.

The second picture is from a Blockparty we held within a street neighborhood. People were everywhere, and more than 50 came to Christ during this Block Party.

During our time in Guatemala there were some places we ministered the Gospel that I thought; ‘Only God knows how to get here…’ I was overwhelmed with the presence of God speaking to me and reminding me, He will go to the ends of the world to SEEK AND SAVE THE LOST!

Thank you Jesus for the 438 precious souls who accepted Jesus during our time in Guatemala!

Blessings!

Modern Day Zacheaus in Kenya

March 5th, 2008 by Administrator

zacheas-in-Kenya.jpg Since December 15th Kenya has struggled to maintain peace.  The two tribes Kikuyus and the Luos where divided over the election results which turned into violent acts. More than 1000 people were killed and thousands left their land seeking refuge.

The picture posted here is of a crowd of refugees in Lumuru, Kenya who gaithered close to see our ministry team present the gospel of Jesus Chist using drama, puppets and the arts. The press of the crowd was so great the some of the refugees were climbing up in the trees to hear and see the message of Jesus Christ. We had the priveledge to minister in two IDP camps and we found the people very receptive to the message of peace centered on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We were told that many other American Teams had cancelled because of the crises in Kenya and our coming made a statement to Kenyan’s that peace is returning to their country. We presented the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 16 different settings in a 6 day period and more than 800 souls were birthed into the kingdom of God. Glory be to God!!!

Thank you so much for praying for us!

Rev. Ken Galyean
